It's all fun and games

ITS ALL FUN AND GAMES!

The inspiration for this necklace came from the idea of childhood, i struggle to remember it all and therefore remember it in parts. It's almost my birthday and it reminded me that years have faded and I am nostalgic but i was fearless; i am learning to be again through my art and jewellery. It was also made to be interpreted as each charm is symbolism to how it feels when you feel left out at your own birthday party, Sofia the charm represents you in the birthday chair at playmania (British people will understand) but you see it as everyone doesn't really understand... the bagel wings represent the loved ones that cannot be with you throughout birthdays and the domino is to represent the playful energy that lives within you even as you age. the joker card represents how everything is serious but only to a certain extent, only as a young child every thing seems fun, mostly like a game. hence the name, "it's all fun and games" I hope you enjoy this piece as much as I enjoyed making it. 

Made with glass beads, freshwater pearls, enamel charms, acrylic charms and beads, vintage and upcycled charms and beads and stainless steel base and findings. Measures at 45cm.
