Jewellery Care Guide & FAQs
Every piece at Emsscrafted is handmade with love, using second-hand sourced, upcycled materials, unique beads and freshwater pearls. To keep your handmade treasures looking new and vibrant, follow these care steps!
- Keep it Dry - Although our pieces are made with stainless steel findings, the materials and beads are mostly upcycled. Keeping your piece dry can protect the longevity of your piece. Always remove your pieces before showering, swimming and exercising to prevent wear to those mixed materials.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals - Ensure that you are applying your perfumes, hairsprays and lotions before you are putting on your EC pieces. The chemicals in the listed products can dull the components of your piece over time.
- Gentle Cleaning - If you need to clean your EC piece, use a dry microfibre cloth to gently wipe your piece. Avoid the use of disinfectant or sprays on your pieces, as overtime the chemicals may cause the upcycled materials to tarnish.
- Storing Your EC Pieces - When you are not wearing your pieces, ensure that they are stored safely in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keeping them in jewellery box or pouch will prevent your piece from tangling or scratching.

The Monthly Subscription Box
In the monthly subscription box there is 4 items for £15: a pair of earrings matching the monthly theme, a keyring, a bracelet which is one-of-a-kind to you and a herbal tea. For June, the theme and colour was baby pink to represent self love and healing.
Quick FAQs
What are the pieces made of? - I use stainless steel findings that are high-quality and durable for the silver toned pieces to prevent tarnishing. For the other components, they are upcycled or second-hand materials, as well as freshwater pearls, glass and other unique beads.
When will my order be dispatched? - As a self-employed small artist, I hand package every order myself. My dispatch time is usually 3-5 days after an order is placed, however, if this changes, it is announced on my home page, on the banner at the top of the page, as well as changing before you purchase. When at checkout, you have the choice to choose between Royal Mail, Evri or Yodel. All worldwide shipping is dispatched with Royal Mail, so that it is tracked. Please remember to check your emails after purchases, as you should receive an invoice.
